Acne is a problem that affects millions of people worldwide. It can be a condition that makes people depressed and low in self-esteem. There are a number of techniques which can be used to decrease the problem to a more comfortable and tolerable level. Here are 5 ways to get rid of acne;

2. Red meat and dairy products: A diet that is rich in red meat and dairy will produce a greater amount of skin problems. These foods cannot be so easily digested by the stomach which results in more waste products being excreted through the skin. Also, they can create a greater acidity level in the gut and increased hormone production which is easily noticeable through the amount of spots and acne that develop. Try to eat more fish and chicken and use dairy substitutes.

3. Sunshine: It is a well know fact that sunshine increases the body’s production of Vitamin D. This is an essential substance for our skin; it gives us a healthy glow. It is therefore important to get as much sun and fresh air as possible on a daily basis. Even on a cloudy day our skin can absorb the sun’s rays. We should all try to spend at least twenty minutes each day outside walking around or doing an activity that we enjoy. Exercise can also improve blood circulation and improve the body’s health. In summer it is important not to get burnt by the sun as this can make acne worse.

4. Food supplements: Many people do not have a diet with the right portions of fresh vegetables and fruit. As our lives have become busier it can sometime be difficult to eat all the right foods. If you feel that you do not get the correct amount of nutrients, minerals, and vitamins then you should take food supplements or multi-vitamin tablets. This becomes even more important if you are taking antibiotics as these medications may destroy the healthy bacteria in the gut that is necessary to remove waste products in the right manner.

5. Skin Care: When we bath or have a wash we should use skin care products made from natural ingredients rather than those that contain a lot of chemicals. Any man-made chemical can irritate the skin and make acne worse.
